The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Cushman & Wakefield and five other major landlords for alleged anticompetitive practices in the rental housing market. This lawsuit expands on previous claims against RealPage, a property management software company accused of enabling rental price collusion by allowing landlords to share pricing information. The lawsuit claims that these landlords unlawfully exchanged non-public pricing strategies and that such practices have harmed renters across various states.
