U.S. spending on TikTok Shop has significantly increased this holiday season, with users purchasing merchandise from various vendors. Launched in September 2023, TikTok Shop reported reaching $100 million in sales on Black Friday, marking its rapid growth in the e-commerce space. However, the platform faces potential challenges as a federal appeals court has upheld a law requiring its parent company, ByteDance, to divest TikTok in the U.S. by early next year to avoid a ban, which could also affect TikTok Shop.
