Defense Blog reported that the US automotive group AM General has confirmed the deployment of the 'Eagle Eye' 105mm vehicle-mounted howitzer to Ukraine for frontline combat testing, making it the first new 'soft recoil tech' artillery system in action. Its capabilities include a 180-degree firing arc, 72-degree elevation, a range of 11.6 km for standard shells and 19.5 km for rocket-assisted projectiles, and a maximum firing rate of 8 rounds per minute, aiming to enhance mobile fire support effectiveness in combat.
