Vardis Vardinoyannis, a prominent Greek shipping and energy businessman and long-time friend of the Kennedy family, has died at the age of 90 in Athens. Known for his influential role in the industry and his philanthropic efforts, Vardinoyannis survived a terrorist assassination attempt in 1990 and was pivotal in shaping various enterprises, including Motor Oil Hellas. He was also involved in charitable work alongside his wife, Marianna, who passed away last year. Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid tribute to his legacy and contributions to the country.
