Known as the 'Vietnamese Jolin Tsai,' Nguyen Thu Hang, a Vietnamese bride who studied in Taiwan and married a Taiwanese man, expressed surprise at Taiwan's lack of dog meat consumption. She mentioned that in Vietnam eating dog meat is a common practice and considered a delicacy, explaining that in Taiwan, dogs raised for consumption are different from pet dogs, and the meat can be cooked in various ways, often grilled. Despite being a traditional delicacy in Vietnam, it is not commonly consumed due to high prices and is not part of Southern Vietnam's culinary habits due to its history of French colonization.
