On June 22, 2024, at 6:42 PM in Taipei's Zhongshan District, a family was in disarray as the wife, who usually managed the household chores, was bedridden due to a stroke. The husband, who took on the caregiving responsibilities, struggled to maintain the cleanliness of the house, with even their son unable to help. Volunteers from Tzu Chi Foundation spent two months building trust with the family and finally received permission to clean up the cluttered home. The elderly couple, who used to be teachers, had their living environment drastically changed when the wife experienced a stroke 5 years ago. After the volunteers' efforts to communicate and clean up, the family and other volunteers worked together to improve the living conditions, with the Tzu Chi Foundation providing a medical bed for the bedridden wife.
