LaMonte Wade Jr., first baseman for the Giants, left the game against the Phillies after sustaining a left leg injury when he slid into second base and grabbed the back of his left leg. He was assisted off the field with a left hamstring strain, an injury he had tweaked in a previous game. Wade has been a key hitter for the Giants this season, hitting .333 with six doubles, two homers, and 17 RBI.
