Walking through the Roman Vertical Traverse into Dense Forests to Admire Giant Trees and Moss

On June 8, 2024, through the misty forest, the author Hu Jian embarked on the 'Roman Vertical Traverse,' a highly acclaimed route in the Yuejie region renowned for its scenic grandeur like sacred trees, stone waterfalls, dense arrow bamboo forests, and forest fire lanes. Located in the Xueshan Mountain Range, this route involves climbing the Loye Mountain (2,717 meters) and crossing to the Mawuzuo Township Mountain (2,368 meters). The journey encompasses about 10 kilometers and is completed by experienced hikers in 8 to 9 hours. Hikers are drawn by the lush vegetation, with highlights including the majestic Roman giant tree and reminders of the importance of environmental preservation.
