On June 20, 2024, at 11:20 am, civic groups staged a three-day anti-parliamentary power abuse activity outside the Legislative Yuan in Taipei, urging the removal of specific blue-white legislators. Nationalist Party (KMT) legislator Wang Hongwei, who was also named for removal, stated that she is not to be trifled with and would have Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Wu Siyao accompany her if targeted. In response, Wu Siyao criticized Wang Hongwei's lack of reflection and described her actions as revealing the hatred of blue lawmakers. Despite being targeted, Wang Hongwei remained unfazed, while other blue colleagues seemed dispirited at the possibility of removal. The ongoing discontent and threats of removal signify potential political turbulence for the KMT.
