Wells Fargo has named Alexandra Barth as the co-head of its leveraged finance business, expanding its investment banking operations. The bank has been bolstering its corporate and investment banking unit by hiring over 50 senior bankers and traders since 2020. Barth, previously with Deutsche Bank for nearly 25 years, will lead Wells Fargo's leveraged finance team alongside Trip Morris and report to Tim O'Hara, head of banking, as the bank aims to strengthen its presence in investment banking.
