Hsinchu Baseball Stadium, built with a budget of 1.2 billion during former mayor Lin Chih-chien's term, encountered multiple defects and caused injuries to professional baseball players, leading to its closure for repairs. Despite the city government's efforts to restart the improvement project, it has been continuously delayed by the general contractor. The city aims to complete the project by April next year if external unfavorable factors do not persist. The general contractor's delays have hindered the city government from progressing, prompting temporary support works and detailed design phases to proceed. Meetings with experts are planned to expedite the stadium's improvement and reopening.
