Reported 8 months ago

On June 19, 2024, at 1:30 am, the Wild World Zoo in Tainan conducted an 'Animal Escape Drill' simulating a post-earthquake fire scenario causing a medium-sized animal to escape and potentially create chaos. During the drill, a camel unexpectedly walked down the brick path inside the park, alarming visitors. Staff quickly used canvas sheets to corral the camel, and a veterinarian successfully tranquilized and secured it back. The simulation aimed to test the staff's ability to handle emergency situations involving animals and visitors calmly and professionally, with the camel ultimately safely recovered.
