In an incident at a construction site in Beitun District, Taichung, this evening, a worker fell about 3 meters deep underground. The Taichung City Fire Department arrived to assist, hanging the injured worker to the first floor for treatment before transferring them to Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital for further care. The fire department was notified at around 5:08 p.m. and quickly deployed 1 vehicle and 2 personnel to rescue the worker who fell from a height. Subsequently, with the assistance of equipment vehicles, a total of 4 vehicles and 13 personnel were involved in the rescue operation. The rescue team made contact with the injured worker at 5:29 p.m., after which the worker was assessed with head and back injuries but remained conscious. Due to the worker's fall underground, they were hoisted to a safe location on the first floor for initial treatment before being taken to Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital for medical care.
