Xie Wenbin, former Director of the Education Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, officially assumed the position of the third Vice Executive Director of the Southern Joint Service Center on June 28. During his tenure in the Kaohsiung City Government, Xie had been dedicated to promoting bilingual international education, enhancing diverse learning perspectives, advocating for more school resources from the central government, integrating education initiatives, and has a wealth of experience. With a PhD from National Taiwan Normal University in Technological Application and Human Resource Development, Xie has held various educational positions. The Southern Joint Service Center, overseeing areas such as Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Penghu County, appointed Xie as the third Vice Executive Director to strengthen supervision, coordination, and service quality enhancement in the southern region, particularly in culture, education, indigenous people, and Hakka affairs. In late August, Xie will supervise the establishment of the Southern Leadership Education Institute at the center, inviting relevant agency heads to share their governance principles with the public, industry, academia, and community organizations in Kaohsiung.
