Taiwan's stock market opened with slight fluctuations and broke through the 24000 mark, with TSMC contributing over 370 points to the weighted index. Chueh Hsiang-sheng from Hsinchu Securities mentioned that TSMC's performance was remarkable but cautioned against chasing after the rally, advising investors to temporarily wait and see. He emphasized the need for a market consolidation phase as small-cap stocks surged in the morning due to overflow of funds, while the overall market was considered overbought and in need of a break. TSMC's strong performance, along with weaknesses in other sectors like shipping and telecom, indicated the need for caution in the current market environment.
