Taichung report by Liu Zhushong, June 30, 2024, 4:10 pm: Yong Hong Aerospace (6618), a thermoplastic carbon fiber composite material plant, is partnering with a drone systems integrator to establish a drone company. By leveraging Yong Hong's expertise in composite materials, the company aims to enter the global drone industry. Shareholders, including Singapore government's investment company, are optimistic about the long-term development of drones. The company plans to set up the drone company soon, focusing on military and commercial drone research and production. Yong Hong Chairman Wu Jiaxing stated that the company's technology advantages in carbon fiber composite materials can be applied to drones for sustainable development in line with ESG circular economy principles. In addition to entering the drone market, Yong Hong is actively exploring collaborations with customers in the new energy vehicles and high-speed rail sectors to expand into new markets.
