On June 17, 2024, at 2:15 PM, a self-driving van lost control and crashed into the Yu Zhen Zhai bakery on Zhongshan Road in Lukang, causing injuries to two individuals who were then taken to Lukang Christian Hospital. The incident led to shattered glass doors and scattered items in the shop. The 61-year-old driver inexplicably crashed into the bakery, resulting in significant damage. The shop has been in operation for around 20 years and is now undergoing cleanup to resume operations.
