Reported exclusively, on June 14, 2024, at 12:39 a.m., in Pingtung, a serious accident occurred on the flat road of National Highway No. 10 Ligans Interchange. An engineering vehicle collided with a sand truck for unknown reasons, causing the front of the engineering vehicle to be completely damaged, trapping 3 individuals. Emergency services responded urgently with 6 vehicles and 14 personnel to rescue the victims using specialized equipment. Among the 3 injured individuals, a 30-year-old man suffered a broken left hand, a 40-year-old man suffered a broken leg; both were conscious. Unfortunately, a male driver in his 40s lost vital signs at the scene and was declared deceased after rescue efforts at the hospital. Further investigation is required to determine the exact cause of the accident.
