Reported exclusively, on June 14, 2024, at 12:39 a.m., in Pingtung, a serious accident occurred on the flat road of National Highway No. 10 Ligans Interchange. An engineering vehicle collided with a sand truck for unknown reasons, causing the front of the engineering vehicle to be completely damaged, trapping 3 individuals. Emergency services responded urgently with 6 vehicles and 14 personnel to rescue the victims using specialized equipment. Among the 3 injured individuals, a 30-year-old man suffered a broken left hand, a 40-year-old man suffered a broken leg; both were conscious. Unfortunately, a male driver in his 40s lost vital signs at the scene and was declared deceased after rescue efforts at the hospital.
