Chen Jian, the son-in-law of veteran artists Yu Tian and Li Yaping, was arrested for allegedly serving as a 'driver head' for a fraud group, where he was caught by undercover police officers while collecting stolen money. The New Taipei District Prosecutors Office indicted Chen Jian and 8 others for involvement in 'fraud by three or more people' and requested heavy penalties. The group, using various aliases on LINE, attracted victims to invest money, with Chen Jian serving as the 'money receiver' and converting the money into cryptocurrency to conceal the financial flow. Following investigations, it was determined that they defrauded multiple victims, leading to the prosecution of 9 individuals, with heavy penalties requested for Chen Jian and two others.
