Meteorologist Wu Derong mentioned a potential tropical storm southeast of Taiwan with a 70% chance of developing next week. Afternoon thunderstorms in western regions and mountainous areas are expected, particularly in the areas south of Chiayi, prompting caution for heavy rainfall and strong winds. Continued monitoring of the situation is advised due to the uncertain path of the storm.
