The Minister of Agriculture, Chen Junji, expressed for the first time that 'pet communication' is not recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture due to the lack of scientific evidence, but guidelines will be developed for those operating under the guise of pets. The issue was raised in response to the increasing number of 'pet communicators' emerging in Taiwan amid the growing pet industry. The government has not yet regulated this profession, with many claiming to be able to communicate with pets, sparking mixed opinions among the public.
