Air Canada has successfully negotiated a tentative agreement with its pilots' union to secure a new four-year contract, thus avoiding a potential strike. The deal, which will be kept confidential until ratification, is expected to deliver approximately C$1.9 billion in value to more than 5,200 pilots, marking a 46% increase over the previous contract. This resolution comes after 15 months of negotiations concerning wages and working conditions, with the new terms backdated to cover September 30, 2023, to September 29, 2027.
