FTNN News reported on June 8, 2024, that the 'God of Songs' Andy Lau's concert scheduled from June 7th to 9th at Taipei Arena was canceled due to an RSV infection, with the organizers announcing refund and compensation plans; however, issues arose with refunds for scalped tickets. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-An emphasized that under standardized contracts, scalped tickets do not have to be refunded in case of event cancellation, advising the public once again against purchasing unsecured scalped tickets. The city government is addressing complaints and urging proper handling of refunds, with legal actions towards scalping behavior already in effect. Wan-An reiterated the importance of avoiding scalped tickets and assured strong enforcement of laws against scalping. More news on the negotiation of concert regulations at Taipei Arena will follow.
