Atlas Air and DHL Express have decided to terminate their 18-year joint venture, Polar Air Cargo, to realign their strategic goals. Atlas will continue providing air transport services to DHL and refocus its operations towards long-haul flights and a diversified customer base. Following the dissolution, Atlas will take over certain assets and operations while DHL reclaims some aircraft contributed to the partnership. The change aims to enhance financial performance and address operational efficiency amid recent controversies and shifts in the air cargo market.
