AvalonBay Communities (AVB) exceeded analyst expectations in its Q2 earnings report, posting a 5.6% increase in earnings per share to $1.88, surpassing the estimated $1.20. The company’s same-store residential revenue rose by 3% year-over-year to $689.1 million. Alongside these financial successes, AvalonBay completed the development of Avalon Princeton and commenced construction on two new apartment communities in Florida and North Carolina, totaling 624 units.
