As the weather gets hotter, many people's first instinct upon returning home is to turn on the air conditioner. However, do you have any energy-saving tips? Taiwan Power Company recommends doing 2 things before turning on the air conditioner to cool down faster and save 10% electricity. The first step is to open a window for heat dissipation and ventilation, followed by cleaning the filter to save up to 10% electricity annually. Adjusting the air conditioner's temperature to 26-28 degrees Celsius can save an additional 6% electricity for each degree increase. Regularly cleaning the filter every 2-3 weeks can further save electricity, making the cooling process efficient and cost-effective.
