A 44-year-old man surnamed Ko checked into a Kaohsiung hotel at 3 p.m. on the 19th and was supposed to check out at 12 p.m. on the 22nd. However, when hotel staff couldn't reach him, they found him lying lifeless on the floor with limbs stiff when they opened the door to his room. Upon further investigation, white powder packets and syringes were found in the room, but no signs of external force or intruders were discovered. The exact cause of death is pending an autopsy by the prosecutor. The case highlights the dangers of drug use and the importance of cherishing life.
