On June 10, 2024, at 2:28 PM, a paint factory on Xinbao Street in Renwu District, Kaohsiung, caught fire, prompting the dispatch of 14 fire trucks and 31 firefighters to the scene. Thick smoke billowed, but after over an hour of intense firefighting, the blaze was successfully controlled by 3:40 PM with no casualties reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
