Broadcom and TSMC are reportedly exploring plans to bid for parts of Intel, potentially leading to a breakup of the beleaguered chipmaker. Broadcom is interested in Intel’s chip-design and marketing business, while TSMC may acquire some or all of Intel's chip plants.
