In Taoyuan, Taiwan, a construction team leader with the surname Gu, dissatisfied with the upper management, planned to stop the construction work by kidnapping a security guard and looting the construction site. Along with two others, they stole a small truck and forcibly took a large amount of cables worth 524,401 yuan before selling them. The trio was caught by the police and each sentenced to various prison terms. Gu, a 39-year-old man with a criminal record, orchestrated the crime and was given a harsher sentence. The accomplices were also penalized based on their level of involvement.
