Corn futures saw a decline as they approached the Friday close, unable to maintain midday gains. Most contracts fell by fractions to 2 cents, with a notable decrease in the December contract by 2 ¼ cents for the week. The national average cash price dropped to $3.73 ¼ following export sales that showed a decline for old crop but an increase for new crop business. Meanwhile, a finalized US/Japan trade deal promises significant agricultural purchases from the US, including corn and soybeans.
