Uni-Lions selected Chen Sheng-Ping, who returned from the US, in the draft on the 28th. Coach Lin Yue-Ping plans to have him undergo a physical exam on July 2nd, aiming for his potential debut in the Tainan series starting on the 5th. Chen's defensive position has not been determined yet, with possibilities of him playing second base, third base, or shortstop. Another player, Takayasu, is also expected to contribute later in the season after a physical exam in early July. Uni-Lions are strengthening their infield with these acquisitions.
