Dina Asher-Smith claimed 100m gold at the European Athletics Championships in Rome with a time of 10.99 seconds, ahead of Poland's Ewa Swoboda and Italy's Zaynab Dosso. Asher-Smith's victory marked her return to form after a disappointing World Championships, and she now aims to win her first individual Olympic medal in Paris 2024. Other British athletes also achieved success at the championships, contributing to Great Britain's climb to third in the medal table.
