On June 27, 2024, at 10:59 PM, there was a reported legal dispute between renowned director Wèi Désè and Central Motion Picture Corporation Chairman Kuò Táiqiáng, following their collaboration on the film 'Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale'. Kuò filed for the sealing of Wèi's company assets, alleging copyright infringement, misappropriation of box office profits, and fraud. However, after a Taipei prosecutor's investigation, Kuò and two others were found to have insufficient evidence of wrongdoing and will not be prosecuted, giving Wèi the option to appeal to the High Prosecutors Office.
