On June 9, 2024, in the early hours of the morning, the Da'an Police received a report of a fight on Dunhua South Road in Taipei. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found two groups, one led by a drunken man named Li and another led by a man named Chen, engaged in a dispute. With emotions running high, the police used their superior forces to control the situation and discovered weapons such as a knife, a baton, and pepper spray at the scene. After investigation, the drunken Li was suspected of attempted murder, intimidation, and causing harm, and was handed over to the Taiwan Taipei District Prosecutors Office for further investigation. The Da'an Police reminded the public to refrain from carrying dangerous weapons or chemicals without proper cause, and stepped up inspections of alcohol-serving establishments and areas prone to disturbances to prevent violence and maintain social order.
