The scorching weather leads to extreme high temperatures reaching 36 to 38 degrees and above in Taiwan, with 13 counties and cities issued high temperature alerts. Meteorologist Wu Derong mentions that thunderstorms and heavy rain persisted into the afternoon following temperatures of 37-38 degrees in various areas. Tomorrow onwards, the area with rain is expected to decrease as Taiwan experiences extreme heat and potential thunderstorm threats.
