On June 13, 2024, around 5 p.m., smoke was seen coming from the pipes of the luxury residence 'Fubon Sky Tree' in Taichung, West District. The fire department responded to the call, with multiple teams arriving on the scene to handle the situation, luckily without any casualties. The initial investigation pointed to a minor smoke incident caused by an electrical short circuit. When firefighters arrived at the scene, there was no fire or smoke, and no one was trapped. As high-rise building fire safety has been a concern recently, the fire department is conducting further investigations into the cause of the smoke.
