The sanctioned oil tanker Nolan, built in 1998 and previously handling Iranian oil, has become the first sanctioned vessel to be scrapped in an Indian shipyard, marking a potential turning point for the dark fleet amidst evolving geopolitical tensions. Once a part of a larger fleet operating despite sanctions, Nolan's scrapping could pave the way for more vessels to follow suit.
