First Wind Turbine in Zhongneng Wind Farm Begins Generating Electricity with Project Set to Complete Grid Connection by the End of this Year

Zhongneng Wind Farm, developed jointly by China Steel Corporation and Danish CIP, is set to finish grid connection by the end of this year as announced by Zhongneng Power Company. The first wind turbine has already started generating power, with the entire offshore installation project expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year. The wind farm, located off the coast of Changhua, has been allocated a capacity of 300 MW and plans to install 31 Vestas V174-9.5MW offshore wind turbines. Half of the wind turbines have been installed, and all offshore installation work is scheduled for completion in the third quarter. The project aims to contribute to Taiwan's energy transition and meet the increasing demand for green electricity to maintain international competitiveness and support the growth of industries like AI, servers, semiconductors, and data centers.
