According to TVBS News on July 9, 2024, mainland China's duck and goose production has decreased due to floods and avian influenza, affecting down feather supply and causing global badminton prices to rise. Even Taiwan's well-known domestic brand announced price increases ranging from 30 to 90 NT dollars for badminton shuttlecocks. The increase is attributed to the scarcity of feathers due to factors like flooding and avian influenza. As a result, prices rose by an average of 20-30% this year, affecting both the mainland and Taiwan.
