The Labor Ministry convened a joint meeting for the Minimum Wage Review Council and Advisory Council to discuss which Consumer Price Index (CPI) should be used in determining the adjustment rate for minimum wage, with options including CPI, 17 key household goods CPI, or the annual forecast of the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics. The ministry plans to conduct a detailed analysis for different industries and types of employment to provide more tailored recommendations. Various economic data, including CPI growth rates, were also discussed, with further deliberations expected in the third quarter.
