A fugitive in Xizhi, New Taipei City, collided with a taxi and showed no signs of life. When police tried to stop the fugitive, surnamed Li (52 years old), he fled in his car but crashed at an intersection, where officers handcuffed him. Unexpectedly, Li started foaming at the mouth and lost consciousness when being handcuffed, and despite being taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead. The police did not collide with Li's car or use firearms during the chase, and the cause of death is currently under investigation by the authorities for clarification.
