Google is close to selecting locations for its first physical retail stores outside the United States, focusing on key markets India, specifically New Delhi and Mumbai. The initiative aims to compete with Apple in the luxury sector, as Google plans to invest $10 billion in the Indian market. Currently, Google operates only five stores in the US, but plans for 15,000 square foot stores in India are in advanced stages. This expansion comes amid Google's ongoing regulatory challenges in the region.
