Heaven to Hell: Master's Backup Accepted in the Morning, Rescinded at Night, Suspected Black Box Operation by School

Reported 7 months ago

A student in Tainan, Taiwan, received a call last August informing them they had been accepted as a backup for the Master's program in the Department of Chemical Materials at a university. However, the same evening, the school called to repeal the acceptance, leading the student to suspect foul play and file an administrative lawsuit. Despite the student's allegations, the university claims that backup acceptance is only valid upon written confirmation. The case is currently in administrative litigation. As the demand for Master's and Ph.D. graduates decreases in society, the enrollment rates for these programs have also declined, changing the mindset of continuing education for better job prospects.
