On June 23, 2024, a fire broke out in a plastic product factory's open warehouse in Pingnan Industrial Area, Pingdong County, Taiwan, burning approximately 1058.75 ping of space. Despite efforts from 22 fire trucks and 42 firefighters, the fire continued for 10 hours before finally being put out, leaving behind a scene resembling hell on earth with the massive amounts of burnt cardboard boxes and continuous white smoke. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.
