Over 2,300 former Negro Leagues players from 1920-1948 were included after extensive research. Notable changes include Gibson topping several categories, Willie Mays' hit total increasing, Minnie Miñoso joining the 2,000-hit club, Jackie Robinson's career hits total rising, and Satchel Paige's win count reaching 125.
