Keelung in Taiwan experienced a landslide in Badosi on the morning of July 8, 2024. The repair work on the slope is ongoing with traffic control in place on Monday and Tuesday. The Highway Bureau staff, likened to Spider-Man, worked on the slope with safety ropes, facing occasional rockfalls. The repair work involves mesh installation, concrete spraying, and water drainage construction to prevent future landslides due to rain. The road will be closed periodically, and drivers are advised to follow alternate routes during construction. Future maintenance plans include further strengthening the slope with measures like rock bolts and retaining walls for enhanced road safety.
