The Financial Supervisory Commission announced on July 4 that from December 2 this year, the execution time for intra-day trading of fractional shares will be reduced from 1 minute to 5 seconds. This change aims to enhance market liquidity and provide more opportunities for small investors. Since the introduction of fractional share trading in October 2020, the average daily trading volume has dramatically increased, particularly among investors under 30, highlighting a growing engagement of younger individuals in the capital market. Investors are encouraged to carefully evaluate transaction costs and financial conditions, while also being aware of investment risks.
