In Gorontalo, Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, heavy rain caused a deadly landslide in the Bone Bolango district, leading to a tragic incident in an illegal gold mining area where 11 people died and 45 went missing. The victims include both miners and nearby residents. Rescue efforts are hindered by covered roads and ongoing rain, with rescuers having to walk about 20 kilometers to reach the site. So far, 23 survivors, including 6 injured, have been rescued, while 11 bodies have been found and 45 people remain missing. Additionally, extreme rain since the 6th has caused flooding in five villages, displacing over 1000 people in the area.
